We are looking for a Trust Manager to manage a varied and complex portfolio of trusts, to
include sophisticated tax  arrangements, corporate appointments and trust matters.
You will competently and autonomously manage a portfolio of trusts and have client
relationship management responsibility. You will carry out duties in a professional manner  
and in accordance with policies and procedures, legal/regulatory requirements, service  
levels and company standards so as to meet with business expectations

Further tasks
  • Managing the client relationship fostering good working relationships and
    communication with clients and third parties including the client’s Bankers
    Accountants and Lawyers.
  • Be first point of contact for client communications.
  • Ensure that external queries, particularly from clients are dealt with within two
    working days. If the query is complex and requires more time to answer in full
    manage client expectations by sending holding emails, have a telephone call etc.
  • Ensure client service Director/In-House Counsel is made aware of any client
    complaints or significant issues and errors.
  • Liaise with Cayman Compliance and Technical team on complex transactions,
    distributions, incoming funds and other transactions involving Cayman AML
  • Be aware of client’s risk and tax profile utilising technical resources within the
    company and in dealing with client Advisors.
  • Work with In-House Counsel in Cayman and other corresponding offices drafting of
    minutes and resolutions for Client structures relating to client transactions.
  • Take leading role in execution of major client transactions utilising legal training.
  • Liaise with investment team regarding investment transactions and understand
    investment processes for clients. Liaise with clients regarding investment
    performance of client assets.
  • Liaise with bookkeeping and accounting team regarding delivery of bookkeeping
    and accounting requirements for clients.
  • As the legally qualified Manager on the section assist other managers on section
    with drafting requirements and legal issues that arise on a regular basis for clients
    of other teams.
  • Act as cover for other Manager(s) on the section when other Manager(s) are away
    from the office particularly on legal and technical issues which arise on client

Qualifications and requirements
  • Preferably a law, tax education at University level,
  • Good command of English,
  • Good presentation and client oriented,
  • Several years of experience in a similar position or with a Trust /professional  
    services or a Law firm,
  • Be STEP qualified or equivalent, not a must however a pro
  • Be required to manage a complex portfolio of trusts and requires a combination of
    accounting, taxation, legal, investment, and commercial experience.
  • Preferably someone who already lives on Cayman Islands  however people
    moving to Cayman are also welcom.
  • You have advanced computer skills (Word, Excel & Outlook),
  • You are able to solve problems, have a pro-active approach, work independently,  
    are a team player, you demonstrate excellent communication and organizational  
    skills, stress resistant and an ability to meet tight deadlines.
