For our client, a dominant player in the corporate services industry in Jersey, we are
looking for a talented Fund Accountant

Technical Attributes
  • Have a working knowledge of private equity fund administration, terminology and
    the management incentive arrangements implemented for partners in private
    equity businesses.
  • Collaborate with your team to manage a portfolio of client incentive plans using
    Trusts, Companies and other SPVs
  • Provide technical support to team administrators in the deferred compensation
  • Become an expert in relevant deferred compensation incentive schemes and
    share that knowledge with your team, including using underlying client facing
    systems to support your clients
  • Assist the team in reviewing accounting records, management accounts and
    financial statements, providing feedback to the accounting and bookkeeping team
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures are implemented for your clients
  • To be proactive in keeping up-to-date awareness of current industry issues, e.g.
    changes in legislation

Client Care
  • Communicate openly and honestly with clients on a regular basis
  • Conduct meetings, produce minutes, resolutions and any other administration
    duties requested
  • Maintain client documents with integrity, clearly updating all correspondence
  • Pro-actively complete client take-on process and on-going reviews of clients
  • Be committed and driven to achieving excellence for themselves and their client
  • Conduct client visits as required

People & Team
  • Be approachable and accessible to your all team members, offering guidance
    and development when required and assist in any training needs
  • Provide new, innovative ideas on how to improve the efficiencies of daily tasks
    and systems use
  • Take care of, and establish good relationships with all suppliers, team members &
  • Review and manage the workload of team administrators on a daily basis reporting
    upwards to senior management
  • Strive for excellence in your work and inspire those around you

  • Review aged debt and other financial information as required by the Finance
  • Manage the fee relationships with your clients, undertaking timely and accurate

Skills & Expertise
  • A professional qualification e.g. ACA (preferable)/ICSA/STEP
  • Comprehensive experience within a fund administration, trust administrative or
    reward environment
  • Be able to deal with tasks independently & use own initiative
  • Must be committed and driven to achieving excellence for themselves and their
  • Strong academic background
  • Knowledge of local legislation/Corporate Governance
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Interest in and affinity with using technology to deliver client service

Please note that the role is in Jersey and will be performed there.
