For our client, an international boutique trust company in Amsterdam we are looking for a Senior Accountant/ financial account manager. Our client is a highly regarded provider of trust and corporate services for private clients, entrepreneurs, and family-owned businesses. Our client operates as an international trust boutique with offices in key locations worldwide.



WHAT WILL YOU DO?



As an Accountant you will be part of our Structured Finance & Capital Market Services’ accounting team in the Amsterdam office. You will work closely with your (internationally based) colleagues of the Accounting & Finance team to continuously exceed our clients’ expectations. In this position, you are responsible for managing the financial activities concerning a client portfolio. You will be responsible for a wide range of administrative and financial tasks, such as periodic reporting, processing of investment transactions, and bookkeeping of client portfolios.


Main responsibilities are:

  • Manage own portfolio regarding planning, meeting deadlines, and quality of work.
  • Handle and manage all obligations and due dates of transactions
  • Data reconciliation, journal entries, and preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual figures.
  • Prepare financial statements and annual reports as well as other SPV-relatedge financial reports.
  • Support the audit process.
  • Filing regulatory statistical reports to central banks.
  • Ensure that all procedures are carried out in accordance with relevant legislation and policies.
  • Identify issues or unexpected vents arising during work and resolve them.
  • Participating in projects for new systems implementation and reporting optimization.
  • Working closely with stakeholders, clients, and other offices of the Company.
  • Coach junior accountants.


HOW DO YOU FIT IN THE TEAM?



As an Accountant, you work closely with team members of various levels and are capable of managing ad-hoc activities, intensive client contacts, and your daily work. In this position, you need to prioritize what is important, have a hands-on and independent work mentality, and be able to deal with stress. Having a helicopter view is essential since you are responsible for financial processes and reporting deadlines for a portfolio of clients. You are proactive, know what you are capable of, and possess good communication and organizational skills.


Qualifications for this profile:

  • Accounting education to a University degree or comparable level achieved through exposure and experience
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar position preferably within a multinational company like a Financial Institution or accounting/audit firm
  • Fluent in English (both orally and in writing)
  • Able to work within an international, multicultural environment
  • Interest in the international financial/capital markets and financial instruments
  • Good knowledge of of MS Excel.
