Manager Fund Accounting (Luxembourg)



As Manager Fund Accounting you will have the opportunity to work and collaborate with some of the best minds in fund services. Together with your team of Supervisors and (Junior/Senior) Fund Accountants, you will oversee a diverse range of administrative and financial responsibilities for our international fund clients, primarily operating in the Alternative Investment Fund sphere (Private Equity, Real Estate, Venture Capital, Debt, Infrastructure etc). The Company works with global law firms and accountancy firms, multinational corporations, financial institutions, fund managers, high net worth individuals and family offices.



Your responsibilities



As Manager Fund Accounting, you play a critical role in the success of our business. You will be part of a dynamic and fast growing team of fund experts, reporting directly to the Director Fund Accounting. On a typical day you will be working on a wide range of diverse and varied projects including:

  • Oversight and coordination of all client deliverables within your portfolio, according to the operating memoranda/SLA’s. Deliverables include, but are not limited to:
  • Maintenance of general ledgers, sub ledgers and trial balances for multiple international fund clients, according to various accounting standards (typically IFRS/Lux GAAP/US GAAP)
  • Periodic Net Asset Value calculations, including accrual bookings, various reconciliations and fee calculations
  • (annual) Financial statements
  • Various tax deliverables (VAT, CIT, Subscription Tax etc)
  • Periodic regulatory reporting to the local regulators (BCL and CSSF)
  • Assisting the Supervisors in review related tasks when deemed necessary
  • Working closely with internal and external parties to ensure deadlines are met and quality is assured
  • Be the face to the clients around feedback on business as usual, improvement ideas, knowledge sharing, escalated operational issues/concerns and various other client queries
  • Prepare, review and coordinate internal senior management requests, reporting to senior management, KPI queries, staff time writing, payment of outstanding invoices and regular overall status updates on your portfolio of clients
  • Actively recruiting, coaching and training staff on all required elements of the job
  • Prepare and coordinate regular staff feedback and appraisal meetings
  • Working closely together with the implementation and onboarding teams for document review and setup of new client entities
  • Escalating and coordinating identified team/client needs and improvement points/ideas to consistently build and grow the fund services team in all aspects of the words
  • Participating as a core member of our team and helping us sustain our strong reputation as a leading provider in fund and corporate services


Your profile



We are looking for individuals who:

  • Have a Bachelor or Masters in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics or equivalent
  • Have 7+ years of relevant working experience in fund services and at least 2 years of experience as people leader
  • Are fluent in English, written and spoken. Any additional language is considered an advantage
