Legal Manager / Operations Manager (Dubai)



For our client, a boutique trust firm in Dubai we are currently looking for: Legal Manager/Operations manager



Job purpose



The Legal Manager/Operations manager will handle all legal matters of client companies and is able to maintain and develop relationships with domestic and foreign advisors, clients and shareholders. The Legal Manager/Operations manager is part of a dedicated client team that is responsible for keeping the client files in good legal and financial standing for which the clients interest the main focus is. This position also coordinates the day-to-day planning, operation and problem-solving of the team.



Qualifications



  • University degree in law (civil, notary or fiscal)
  • Preferably a minimum of 5 years relevant working experience
  • Recent experience in managing a team
  • Experience within a corporate service provider
  • Excellent business English written and verbal communications skills
  • Good communication skills coupled with the ability to liaise with people internationally, through spoken and written channels and at all levels and Strong Relationship Management skills in an international environment


Key responsibilities



  • Create and arrange general correspondence with clients, notary, external advisors, banks, regulatory bodies and other relevant parties
  • Assist in incorporations and share transfers of client companies in close co-operation with the client, notary, law firms and tax firms
  • Draft legal documents e.g. management agreements, loan agreements, minutes and proxies
  • Review and assess relevant legal documentation and advice from third parties
  • Signal any legal or tax issue of a client transaction and liaise with the client and/or advisors
  • Update and maintain the client portfolio in good standing and comply with the rules and regulations
  • Ensure that all legal procedures remain in line with applicable law and overall objectives
  • Continuously develop strong working relationships with consultants and clients involved with the company and adequately keep up with activities and refer them to third parties.
  • Maintain excellent communication with the assigned clients
  • Handle all obligations of a transaction if applicable
  • Keep updated about changes in local (relevant) legislation
  • Act if cross-selling opportunities arise
  • Perform chargeable client work
  • Team management including performance appraisal team members
  • Delegated responsibility for team to ensure quality of work and efficiency
  • Develop and coach team members 3 years experience in management of team members
  • Sparring partner for the Managing Director
